‘Silence’

‘Silence’ is my re-imagined Michelangelo’s David, an example of classical perfection, entwined in tape.  The act of wrapping David’s mouth with fragile tape symbolizes not only the suppression of free speech and a stifling of expression, but also represents the concept of fragile masculinity in today’s society.

As an artist, I like to explore the boundaries, struggles and vulnerabilities present in today’s society. Many times I have felt my own voice and opinions are stifled due to societal expectations!  ‘Silence’ represents a paradox of strength and restraint.

My original artwork ‘Silence’ is currently for sale.
