This portrait was created in response to Donald Trump’s sudden re-election as President in November 2024. In that moment I felt compelled to paint him—not only as an artist but almost as a journalist recording history. Friends called me, urging me to capture the event, and their urgency mirrored my own. His signature red tie, blue suit, and unmistakably orange-toned face became central to the composition, serving as both iconic symbols and expressive colours on the canvas.

Through bold texture and heightened tones, the work reflects the weight of his return to power and the charged emotions surrounding it, preserving a moment in time that demanded to be documented.
