Pikachu

This is the second artwork in my ‘Pokemon’ series, inspired by my love of Pokemon and my visits to Japan.

The little Pikachu character is all alone in the big city.  Driving a Lamborghini, he represents opportunity and money, referencing an ugly materialistic world.  Neon lights add a certain beauty to cities, although they are also synonymous with late-night business, bars, and casinos (the seedier lifestyle).  The artwork is a representation of the contrast between real and unreal worlds,representing our materialistic world that attracts and engulfs innocent Pikachu.
