‘Leiden’
In the covid19 lockdown in July 2021 we were unable to attend my Opa Bill’s 92nd birthday so for a present, I painted a scene from Leiden, his birthplace. He liked it a lot and said it reminded him of his childhood and the Sunday food markets that used to pop up on the bridge and along the sides of the canal.
This painting is now in a private collection in New Zealand.
