Michael Jordan is one of those rare people who transcend their sport and become symbols of excellence. He has long been a hero of mine – not only for his achievements on the basketball court, but for the relentless mindset, discipline, and competitive spirit that made him a global icon. Many still consider him the greatest NBA player of all time, and his influence continues to inspire athletes and dreamers around the world.

My goal with this portrait was to capture the presence that made Jordan such a commanding figure, his quiet intensity behind the championships, the determination behind the success, and the unwavering focus that defined his career.

Painted entirely in monochrome black and white, this artwork allowed me to concentrate on form, light, and expression by building depth and realism through contrast alone.  I am proud of the likeness.
